Chao, the founder and an honorary alumnus of NTOU, former U.S. Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao, and her husband, former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. That evening, Vice President Ku was the only Taiwanese guest to take the stage. He presented a crystal glass gift symbolizing &#8220;Sailing Towards the World with Unity and Consensus&#8221; on behalf of the NTOU alumni and faculty, honoring Dr. Chao for the 60th anniversary of the Foremost Group and wishing the company continued success in the shipping industry.
